I was perusing a few financial websites and stumbled upon the new Horizons Medical Marijuana Life Sciences ETF (TSX:HMMJ). This ETF will focus on North American listed stocks that are involved with medical marijuana bio-engineering and production. They will have to meet minimum requirements of liquidity and asset thresholds to be included in the ETF. With the Liberal government stating that marijuana should be legal sometime in 2018 and the obvious excitement surrounding “pot stocks”, what are your thoughts on this new ETF? Is it a fad that will fade? Will you be adding it to your portfolio when it becomes available to investors April 5th, 2017? Why or why not?
Would love to hear any opinions surrounding the subject. Comment below!
